HotList Entries on the OpenNap Networks

OpenNap is the only portion of WinMX that allows for permanent 'Hotlist' entries to be added.  Permanent meaning that when you restart and reconnect to certain OpenNap servers you will be able to find these users again, if they are also connected.  This is possible because your connecting to a central server when using OpenNap.

You can add a user by right clicking their name and choosing 'Add to Hotlist'.  When they are connected to you will see them in green under the 'Online' section, if not they will be listed in red under the 'Offline' section.  This is a great way to stay in touch with all your friends on the OpenNap Networks.

You may notice a file in your WinMX directory folder called 'Contacts.dat' this is the file that stores the contact info for OpenNap Entries and a easy way to clear your entire hotlist is by deleting this file with WinMX off and restarting it.

NOTE: Entries added from the WinMX Networks (listed under Temporary) are not permanent and lost when you restart WinMX, this is because the WinMX Peer Networks are a decentralized Network and keeping track of users is not possible.

There is also now a thread dedicated on the forum to posting Currently Working OpenNap Servers.
Information provided by SamSeeSam and Smokerillo, many thanks for their hard work on this.
